December 3rd & 4th Parent Note for Sprouts

Dear Sprouts parent, This past weekend we finished our Hand in Hand theme. The kids did a fabulous job learning the Bible verse and telling us the things they were thankful for. One little guy had our volunteer write on the back of his coloring paper what he was thankful for so his parents could see it! I absolutely love seeing our kids hide God's Word in their little hearts! So precious and life giving! This time of year brings lots of excitement and anticipation! Your preschooler is still learning about time and can't wait until Christmas! As parents we desire that our kids understand the true meaning of Christmas and in Sprouts this month we will be learning the Christmas story starting t

December 3rd & 4th Parent Note for Remix/Revolution

Hi Remix, Revolution & SPIN Parents! We would love to partner with you and help you as the spiritual leader of your family. Here’s a weekly overview of what you kids are learning! In Isaiah 9:6-7, the prophet Isaiah wrote: “For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (NLT). He wrote this hundreds of years before Mary or Joseph or any of the shepherds came on the scene. But this piece of history is significant to the Christmas story because it tells us something incredible about God. It reminds us that God made a promise to send a Savior. A promise He m

November 26th & 27th Parent Note for Sprouts

Dear Sprouts Parents, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! It is a great time to gather with friends and family to share a meal and talk with your kids about the many things we have to be thankful for! I'm thankful for our new website, www.nhckidstime.com. One of our goals in Kids' Time is to partner with parents in raising kids to know God and trust them as their Savior. In Sprouts, we present the Bible and God in age appropriate ways through our Bible story videos, music videos and the activities we do in our classrooms each week. There is a section on the website just for parents where you can see what we are doing and then continue the learning at home. You can see our Bible verse an

November 12th & 13th Parent Note for Sprouts

Hi Parents, November is a great time to talk with your child about all the things we have to be thankful for. As you go about your day, talk about the things God has made. When you have prayer time, ask your child what they are thankful for. You may be surprised by their answers. Please be sure to check out the parent cue for more ideas to bring God into your day. Last week I had the opportunity to teach the 3 year old class another story from the life of Moses. The Israelites were in battle and as long as Moses kept his arms up, the Israelites were winning, but as his arms fell, they started losing the battle. Aaron and Hur helped Moses by holding his arms up so the Israelites were victorie

November 12th & 13th Parent Note for Remix/Revolution

Hi Remix, Revolution & SPIN Parents! We would love to partner with you and help you as the spiritual leader of your family. Here’s a weekly overview of what you kids are learning at New Hope Kids Time! We just finished up week 2 of our series Weird Science: An Experiment in Obedience. We’ll be talking about how our obedience demonstrates that we trust people who are in charge, as well as, shows God we trust His plan for our lives. The first week we learned about how Adam and Eve sinned in the garden and the world became broken. This broken world continued to spiral until God had enough. This weekend in Genesis 6–8, we read the account of Noah and how he trusted and obeyed God while the rest

Hi Sprouts Parents, By now, I’m sure you’ve heard that we are partnering with Feed My Starving Children for an emergency mobile pack for Haiti on November 18-20. We will not have our normal services that weekend. We will have childcare for the pack on Sunday morning from 9-11 only. This weekend you will have the opportunity to purchase t-shirts to support this pack. We finished the month of October with The Great Adventure learning about the life of Moses. This past Sunday we learned the story of when God told Moses to strike the rock and water came forth. We know that this is something only God can do reinforcing our bottom line of God’s Way is Perfect. This is an important life lesson for

November 5th & 6th Parent Note for Remix/Revolution

Hi Remix, Revolution & SPIN Parents! We would love to partner with you and help you as the spiritual leader of your family. Here’s a weekly overview of what your kids are learning at New Hope Kids Time! Last week we learned about how Adam and Eve sinned in the garden and the world became broken. This broken world continued to spiral until God had enough. This week in Genesis 6,7 & 8, we read the account of Noah and how he trusted and obeyed God while the rest of the world opposed God. We discovered how God used Noah and his family to start over. Bottom Line: I should trust and obey even when others don’t. This simple bottom line is difficult to put into practice. God calls us to be different
