September 30th & October 1st Parent Note for Remix/Revolution

Hi Remix, Revolution & SPIN Parents, We close out the month with something Paul said in 1 Thessalonians 5:11, So encourage one another with the hope you have. Build each other up. In fact, that’s what you are doing, (NIrV). When Job experienced trial after trial, his friends decided to help. They didn’t bring meals or tell jokes. Rather, they came along side and grieved with Job. Now, we find out they didn’t always get it right, but for that first week, they let Job know that they were there for him. Bottom Line: Friends encourage one another. Kids might not always know what to say or do when it comes to helping cheer up their friends. We pray they discover that they can encourage each other

September 30th & October 1st Parent Note for Sprouts

Dear Sprouts Parent, We know things are going to happen in our preschoolers’ lives where they will need God’s help - times when their lives will zig one way and then zag another. We want them to grow up believing that God loves them and can help them anywhere, with anything, no matter how hard it may be. He can even help them help others! This month, we’ll learn about the life of David and how even when it zigged and zagged, God was there to help him. This week we begin with David as a boy in a filed with his sheep. David was alone in that field when he needed to protect his sheep. Actually, he wasn’t really alone. God was with him. And, God helped him protect his sheep front the scary lion

September 16th & 17th Parent Note for Sprouts

Dear Sprouts Parent, We continue our Sprouts theme of Super Kids! We are learning that when we know God is always with us, we can be super! If you need a super hero cape in your home, the dollar store is a great place to find them and where we purchased the capes we are wearing in class. We are having lots of fun marching around the room and practicing our super hero poses. This would be a fun activity to do at home while you talk about the Bible story. This week your child will meet another woman from the Bible, Rahab and learn how her trusting God kept two spies safe. When God is with us, we can be courageous. I love the memory verse this month. It is a verse that will serve us all well to

September 16th & 17th Parent Note for Remix/Revolution

Hi Remix, Revolution & SPIN Parents, Welcome to week 3 of our Lunchroom series. So far, we’ve talked about loving and accepting our friends, but what happens when our friends hurt us? In Colossians 3:13, Paul writes, Put up with one another. Forgive one another if you are holding something against someone. Forgive, just as the Lord forgave you, (NIrV). Towards the end of the book of John we see forgiveness through Jesus and Peter’s relationship. After denying Jesus three times, Peter was feeling guilty and ashamed. But Jesus still had plans for Peter. Jesus forgave Peter and restored the broken friendship. And when we put our faith in Jesus, He offers us that same forgiveness. In turn, we ca

September 9th & 10th Parent Note for Sprouts

Dear Sprouts Parent, This month you will have a super hero running through the house! Our Sprouts theme is Super Kids and we will have capes to tap into our super hero powers! Your preschooler will learn that we can do super things when we trust that God is always with us and do things His way! This week your child will meet one of the strongest women of the Bible, Esther. We will learn when God is with us, we can be strong. If you need a super hero cape, they are available at the dollar store! A cape is always a great item to have in your dress up bin! Last week one of our suggested activities was reading the book Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury. This is a great boo

September 9th & 10th Parent Note for Remix/Revolution

Hi Remix, Revolution & SPIN Parents, We are in week 2 of our series all about friendship. It’s called Lunchroom – make space at the table. We will be looking in Romans 15:7 where Paul writes, Christ has accepted you. So accept one another in order to bring praise to God, (NIrV). We see this played out perfectly through Paul and Barnabas. Paul had a well-deserved terrible reputation among Jesus followers. But after his encounter with Jesus, Paul changed. Barnabas believed that about Paul, accepted him, and stood up for him as he introduced Paul to the rest of the apostles. Bottom Line: Friends accept one another. We pray that kids start to realize that regardless of how people dress, what the
