March 30/April 1 Parent Note for Sprouts

Dear Sprouts Parent, This month we share some BIG NEWS with your preschooler starting with this week…JESUS IS ALIVE! This is something that we know but may be new to your preschooler. This week we hear the wonderful story of how Jesus lived, died and came back, just like He promised. We want your preschooler to remember the big news that Jesus is alive, and He wants to be their friend forever! If you can be with us this weekend, you will notice a few changes. Our 3-5-year-olds will be upstairs in the large room. Look for the signs. Once there, they will be divided into one of two rooms and receive a green or purple wrist band. After the Bible story and worship each child will participate in

March 24/25 Parent Note for Sprouts

Dear Sprouts Parent, We often refer to March like a lion or a lamb, but in Sprouts this month it will be fish and who can follow Jesus. This month is all about Jesus as we prepare for Easter. We will see how He taught the disciples to be fishers of men. They learned this by following Jesus and we want our preschoolers to know that they can follow Jesus too! We end March with a celebration. This week is Palm Sunday. Our story focus is “we celebrate Jesus because He is special.” We want our preschoolers to know that Jesus is special. He is God’s Son. When the people of Jerusalem heard Jesus was coming to town, they were excited, and they yelled, “Hosanna! Hosanna! Yay Jesus!” When my boys were

March 24/25 Parent Note for Remix/Revolution

Hi Remix, Revolution & SPIN Parents, We finish out our month in the book of Colossians. In Colossians 1:20, Paul reminds us that us that peace originated with God’s love for us and Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. And as we’ll discover in Colossians 3:15, we should live at peace with those around us because of everything Christ did for us. Key Question: Who do you need to make peace with? Hopefully, the kids in our preteen environments aren’t experiencing fights with their friends, but more than likely a few of them are. As kids learn that God went to great lengths to make peace with us, they can pinpoint exactly whom they need to offer forgiveness and peace. Bottom Line: We can make peace wit

March 17/18 Parent Note for Remix/Revolution

Hi Remix, Revolution & SPIN Parents, In 1 Samuel 25:1-35, Abigail intervenes when her husband picks a fight with David. Abigail immediately knew what was happening and made a plan to present gifts to David and calm his anger. Her quick actions promoted peace between the two men. Key Question: What are ways you can be a peacemaker? It’s one thing to say that peace is important, it’s another thing to actively work towards making peace. As kids go about their day, we hope they stop, look around, and see how they can help make peace between people they know who are experiencing an argument. Bottom Line: Prove you care more about others by being part of the solution. Peace is often about helping

March 17/18 Parent Note for Sprouts

Dear Sprouts Parent, We often refer to March like a lion or a lamb, but in Sprouts this month it will be fish and who can follow Jesus. This month is all about Jesus as we prepare for Easter. We will see how He taught the disciples to be fishers of men. They learned this by following Jesus and we want our preschoolers to know that they can follow Jesus too! In week three, we stick to the idea of “Follow Me” and meet Matthew the tax collector. Our story focus is anyone can follow Jesus. Even though Matthew had made some bad choices and wasn’t liked by the masses, he still followed Jesus when He asked. We can all follow Jesus, even when we’ve made bad choices. Did you know we have a “Parents o

March 10/11 Parent Note for Sprouts

Dear Sprouts Parent, We often refer to March like a lion or a lamb, but in Sprouts this month it will be fish and who can follow Jesus. This month is all about Jesus as we prepare for Easter. We will see how He taught the disciples to be fishers of men. They learned this by following Jesus and we want our preschoolers to know that they can follow Jesus too! Our story focus is Jesus saying, “Follow Me” to four different men. Our preschoolers will hear how four different fishermen went from fishing for fish to being fishers of men. We’ll learn about Andrew, Peter, James and John. There are some great fishing games and puzzles out there that would be fun to use and talk about what we are learni

March 10/11 Parent Note for Remix/Revolution

Hi Remix, Revolution & SPIN Parents, This month we are talking about Peace. Our Bible Memory Verse for the month is: “So let us do all we can to live in peace. And let us work hard to build up one another.” Romans 14:19 (NIRV). One way we’d like to bring peace to those in our community is through our Sock Drive. Socks are one of the #1 items requested by homeless shelters. Help us show our local community some love this month by donating some new socks! We have set the goal to collect 500 pairs of socks by the end of the month. We hope you take this opportunity as a family to help bring some peace and comfort to those in need. It’s amazing how kids will start to show love to others when they

March 4/5 Parent Note for Sprouts

Dear Sprouts Parent, We often refer to March like a lion or a lamb, but in Sprouts this month it will be fish and who can follow Jesus. This month is all about Jesus as we prepare for Easter. We will see how He taught the disciples to be fishers of men. They learned this by following Jesus and we want our preschoolers to know that they can follow Jesus too! Our story focus this week is when John told people that Jesus was special. John the Baptist was famous in his own right, but he was just preparing the way for Jesus. When Jesus came to the river, John told everyone how special Jesus is. Have you heard of our Parent Child Dedication (PCD)? It is for parents who desire to model Jesus in the
