April 28/29 Parent Note for Remix/Revolution

Hi Remix Revolution Parents, This is our last week of Patience – waiting until later for what you want now. This week we focus on what we miss out on when we don’t wait by learning and discussing the story of Esau and Jacob and how Esau gives away his birthright for a bowl of stew. He gave up the “best” for something he thought was “good” because he didn’t stop and think twice about his decision. We do that all the time as well. Maybe we don’t give up our inheritance but we give up something better because we want what we want, now. Waiting is hard especially when you don’t think about the what you are giving up. Help your kids start to think about the consequences of not waiting and wh

April 28/29 Parent Note for Sprouts

Dear Sprouts Parent, We wrap up our BIG NEWS theme learning about how to give the best gift, just as Peter and John did. Our story focus is telling others about Jesus is the best gift I can give. Nothing is as precious and life-changing as the gift of Jesus. WE want our preschoolers to know that telling others about God’s Son is like giving a gift to everyone. We need your help with the indoor playground. According to our rules, NO food or drink is allowed in the playground. Our security staff finds themselves reminding us over and over of this rule and it seems we don't listen as well as we should be. This includes parents and children and helps keep the playground clean. Please remind your

April 21/22 Parent Note for Sprouts

Dear Sprouts Parent, This week we learn that no matter how hard it is, we can tell others about Jesus, the BIG NEWS! Our story focus is “I can tell others about Jesus even when it’s Hard.” While we may never have it as rough as Paul and Silas had it. There will be times that it’s hard to tell others about Jesus. We want our preschoolers to know that God is with them in every circumstance, including telling others about His Son. If you have attended the 11 am service, you may have noticed how quickly our 4/5-year-old classroom has been filling. This happens every year in the spring right before we promote rising Kindergarteners. Please know that the curriculum/activities we do are identical i

April 14/15 Parent Note for Sprouts

Dear Sprouts Parent, This week we get to hear the amazing story of how Saul changed when he met Jesus. He went from hurting people who loved Jesus to telling everyone about Jesus! Our story focus is “people can change when they know Jesus.” Saul’s change to Paul is a drastic one, but everyone changes when they learn about Jesus. Our goal is to teach our preschoolers to tell others about Jesus, so everyone has a chance to know Him and able changed by His love. Sometimes as parents we think it is difficult to bring Jesus into our everyday lives. It’s hard enough just getting food on the table and semi clean clothes on our kids. The Parent Cue is designed for us, busy parents who really desire

April 7/8 Parent Note for Sprouts

Dear Sprouts Parent, This week in Sprouts we will learn how the early church didn’t just tell others the BIG NEWS about Jesus. They showed them by taking care of one another. Our story focus is “I can show and tell others about Jesus.” Telling others the BIG NEWS doesn’t just have to be shouting it in our outside voices. We can show others Jesus’ love in many ways including the preschool favorite, sharing. Our Bible verse is “Go and make disciples of all nations.” Matthew 28:19. The motions can be found on the Kids’ Time website – nhckidstime.com There is a great article about Easter Sunday on the Toddler Parent Cue this month, also found on the Kids’ Time website. One thing that resonated w
