January 5/6 Parent Note for SPIN/Remix/Revolution

Remix, Rev, & SPIN Parents! Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year! Thanks for all of your name suggestions for our new 2019 Sticker Ball friend. We will announce his/her name this weekend! The month of January is all about self-control. We start with a word picture Solomon writes in Proverbs 25:28. Solomon uses the idea of giant city walls keeping people safe as a way to show
the importance of living with self-control. Kids will discover that having protection, like city walls, is the perfect way to help gain self-control. The bottom line this weekend is- Doing what you should can keep
you safe. When you choose to do what you should, instead of doing what you want, you keep

December 22/23 Parent Note for SPIN/Remix/Revolution

Hey Remix, Revolution, & SPIN Parents, This weekend we are combining Remix and Revolution. All Elementary aged kids (Kindergarten-Fifth grade) will be in the Large Room for services. Instead of Small Groups, we will do Christmas Zones. When children arrive for service, they will be able to choose from 3-4 (depending on the service) Zones. The Zones are: Chill-It, Build-It, Move-It, and Create-It. Get ready for some fun holiday activities to celebrate the holiday season! Kids can come in their Santa hats, holiday sweaters, and don’t forget that Christmas cheer! As we head into Christmas week, we head to Luke 2:8-20 and find shepherds minding their own business and watching sheep in a field.

During the Holiday of Hope Cookie supply drive, we showed compassion by caring for others. Not all families get the privilege of doing all the extra holiday activities- decorating the tree, baking cookies, getting presents. Although these things are not what Christmas is about, these traditions are fun and bring families closer together. When we serve the community as a church, we are

December 8/9 Parent Note for SPIN/Remix/Revolution

Mary was overwhelmed by God’s love for the world and the part she got to play by fulfilling God’s plan to send a Savior. In Remix, the bottom line is God can use anyone to meet others’ needs. For whatever reason, kids may feel like God can’t use them to show others His love. We hope they see, through the story of Mary, that God can use anyone to show His compassion to the world. In Revolution, the key question is: What are you willing to do to meet others’ needs? Mary sacrificed a lot to carry Je
