November 12th & 13th Parent Note for Sprouts
November is a great time to talk with your child about all the things we have to be thankful for. As you go about your day, talk about the things God has made. When you have prayer time, ask your child what they are thankful for. You may be surprised by their answers. Please be sure to check out the parent cue for more ideas to bring God into your day.
Last week I had the opportunity to teach the 3 year old class another story from the life of Moses. The Israelites were in battle and as long as Moses kept his arms up, the Israelites were winning, but as his arms fell, they started losing the battle. Aaron and Hur helped Moses by holding his arms up so the Israelites were victories. The kids loved this story! The thing that really impressed me was their grasp on our November memory verse, “Always give thanks to God!” Ephesians 5:20. They were all saying it as well as sharing things they are thankful for! Please teach and review this verse at home. Kids that are thankful are often more content in life.
This week we will learn how the people of Jerusalem helped Nehemiah rebuild the wall. It took the efforts of everyone to rebuild the wall. The people came together and saw God at work!
Next week is the mobile pack for Feed My Starving Children. We will NOT have normal services. There will be childcare from 9-11 for those registered to pack.
I look forward to seeing you over the weekend!
