Hi Remix, Revolution and SPIN Parents!
We continue our look at forgiveness this month with one of Jesus’ most well-known parables. In Luke 15:11-24, Jesus talks about a kid who thinks he’s got it all together. He demands half of his dad’s money and takes off to spend it on himself. It’s only when the money is gone he realizes he’s made a HUGE mistake and needs forgiveness. He’s got just one hope: that his dad will let him come home and be a servant.
Bottom Line: Everyone needs to be forgiven, even me. Realizing one’s need for forgiveness is a huge step for anyone. But through Jesus’ story, we hope kids realize that everyone needs forgiveness, even them.
Our memory verse for March comes from Colossians 3:13, NLT:
“Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.”
Make sure to check out the rest of our resource on the Kids' Time Website. We have weekly devotionals you can do along with your child, to dance and sing along with the worship songs, watch Bible story videos and much more!
I’m so excited to let you know that we exceeded our goal of 1,000 pairs of socks for our sock drive! Thanks to all the kids, parents and volunteers who showed the heart of Jesus and made it possible for us to donate 1,047 pairs of socks to Central Union Mission in DC.
