Hi Remix, Revolution and SPIN Parents!
What an incredible Easter weekend we had at New Hope Church! Our kids had fun and learned the amazing truth about Jesus’ death and resurrection. This coming weekend we get to be the hands and feet of Jesus and put into action what we’ve been talking about this month – putting others before ourselves. We’ll be hosting our FMSC meal packing event. Remind your kids they can bring in their canisters for our Change for Change Fundraising Drive when you come to pack! We will be collecting through the end of May.
Even though we won’t have our regular Kids’ Time services this weekend you can still head over to our Kids' Time Website and watch the Bible story video and download the weekly devotional. This week we head to Matthew 28:16-20. Now that Jesus was alive, the disciples would have thought that now it was time for Jesus to become king, but that wasn’t God’s plan. Jesus gave them a new job: go and tell everyone about Jesus and be like Jesus was to the rest of the world.
Bottom Line: I can put others first by doing what Jesus said. We get to continue the mission that Jesus gave His disciples all those years ago. When we choose to share Jesus’ love with others, we’re putting them first. We pray that kids will realize that they have an important role in God’s One Big Story.
Our memory verse for April comes from Philippians 2:3 (NLT):
“Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.”
Let know if you have any questions or concerns. I’d love to hear from you!
