April 29th & 30th Parent Note for Remix/Revolution
Hi Remix, Revolution and SPIN Parents!
Thank you to everyone who came out and helped pack meals for FMSC this past weekend. We had a successful meal packing with 544,320 meals packed! That will feed 1,486 kids for an entire year! You can still be a part of this amazing project by giving financially.
Our Remix and Revolution kids will be in adult service this weekend as we celebrate New Hopes’ 25th Anniversary! Please join us for a special celebration on Saturday, April 25th after the 5:30 pm service. We’ll have a cookout, special music and dedicate a time capsule to be buried for the next 25 years. We’ll also have a dessert potluck for all who want to participate. God has done great things through New Hope over the past 25 years. We can’t wait to celebrate all that He will continue to do here!
Even though we won’t have our regular Kids’ Time services this weekend you can still head over to our Kids' Time Website and watch the Bible story video and download the weekly devotional. Our final week in our series on humility we’ll take a closer look at the passage where we find our memory verse. In Philippians 2:3-8, Paul tells us how Jesus is the ultimate example of humility. He gave up everything to come to earth and save us.
Bottom Line: Put others first. We hope that when kids take a look at the people around them, that they will start to understand just how much Jesus loves them, it will change the way we treat them, and they’ll make sure to put them first.
Our memory verse for April comes from Philippians 2:3 (NLT):
“Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.”
Remind your kids they can bring in their canisters for our Change for Change Fundraising Drive this coming weekend. We will be collecting through the end of May. Let know if you have any questions or concerns. I’d love to hear from you!
