November 18th & 19th Parent Note for Sprouts

Dear Sprouts Parent,

Our theme for Sprouts this month is Recipe for Thanks! Thinking about the things we’re thankful for is the key to any recipe of thanks – and a thankful heart. This week we learn that we should be thankful for the people who help us. We will hear the story of Naomi, Ruth and Boaz. This story is full of people who help. We can be thankful for our family and friends and all the people in our community. As you go about your day with your preschooler, think about how many people help you.

Our Bible verse this month is “I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart.” Psalm 111:1

FMSC, Feed My Starving Children is THIS week. We will NOT have our usual weekend services as we will be packing all weekend. The Sunday morning packing session is full and closed. Please utilize the KT website to do the lesson at home.

One of the things I struggled with as a parent was cultivating an attitude of gratitude in my heart as well as the heart of my children. It seems like gets so busy and I neglect to pause and remember my blessings…and they are so many! Here is a great article on making a gratitude adjustment. I hope you find it helpful…and if you think of it when you see me, ask me what I’m thankful for! We can compare notes on God’s blessings!

Much love,

Sherry
