Dear Sprouts Parent,
This week our Recipe for Thanks theme concludes. Thinking about the things we’re thankful for is the key to any recipe of thanks – and a thankful heart. Our final ingredient for thankfulness is not just one thing but THINGS! It’s all the things we need, like water, food, clothes and a place to live. This week we learn that we can be thankful God give us what we need. We will learn about Psalm 23 and how God takes care of us like a shepherd takes care of his sheep.
Our Bible verse this month is “I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart.” Psalm 111:1. Review this verse with your kids throughout the week and ask them to show you the hand motions. Kids are great at memorizing things and when we have them memorize scripture, they are hiding it in their hearts. These verses build a solid faith foundation and can be remembered later in life.
I hope you had a great thanksgiving! If you are traveling, take time to check out the videos on the Kids’ Time website so you don’t miss this great lesson. If you are in town, I look forward to seeing you!
