Dear Sprouts Parent,
As we continue with our “Watch This” theme this week we learn about the time Jesus fed over 5,000 people with five loaves of bread and two fish. Can you imagine the look on the disciples’ faces as they watched the food keep coming and coming and coming and then as they picked up the leftovers?
Our Bible verse if “With God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26 This is a great verse for all of us to learn and to remember when we struggle with things. When your child is struggling with something, pause and talk about how all things are possible with God and pray. Ask God to help your child with whatever it is they are struggling with. This teaches your child that God cares about the small things in their life and that they can and should bring these struggles to Him.
A fun way to reinforce what we are learning is to act out the story. This is a great story to reenact with your child. Get out some of your play food (or real food if you choose). You can talk about the generosity of the little boy who shared his lunch and then how only God could multiply the food. Nothing is too hard for Jesus.
Make sure to check out the Parent Cue for other ways to reinforce the lesson.
