February 17/18 Parent Note for Sprouts

Dear Sprouts Parent,

Our theme for February is Sweet Shop! Jesus loves everyone is the sweetest news we will ever share with our preschoolers. This week your preschooler will hear about the woman that no one else loved - you know, the on that was about to be stoned to death. And yes, Jesus loved her too! Can you imagine how that woman felt when Jesus came to her rescue? Jesus loves us when no one else does, even when we feel alone!

Our bottom line is Jesus loves everyone. Check out the monthly Parent Cue for ways to apply the bottom line throughout your month!

Our Bible memory verse is “Love each other as I have loved you.” John 15:12. You will find the motions for this on this webpage.

What thoughts come to mind when you think of prayer? How do you feel about teaching your child to pray? For some it may cause great anxiety…where do you even start? This article gives us four tips on cultivating a prayer habit in your children. You do not have to be a Biblical scholar to pray with and for your kids and many times our kids will lead the way by showing us their steadfast faith. How do you pray with and for your children? I’d love to hear what works for you!

Have you heard about New Hope’s Parent Child Dedication (PCD)? It is for parents with kids of any age who desire to model Jesus in your home. It is our desire to partner with you in this endeavor…we know parenting is difficult, but also very rewarding. This weekend, you can pick up information about PCD at Children’s Check, Guest Services or the PMS. I’d love to meet you and talk with you about our Parent Child Dedication. If you won’t be at church this weekend or would like to view online, click here.

Much love,

Sherry
