April 28/29 Parent Note for Remix/Revolution
Hi Remix Revolution Parents,
This is our last week of Patience – waiting until later for what you want now. This week we focus on what we miss out on when we don’t wait by learning and discussing the story of Esau and Jacob and how Esau gives away his birthright for a bowl of stew. He gave up the “best” for something he thought was “good” because he didn’t stop and think twice about his decision. We do that all the time as well. Maybe we don’t give up our inheritance but we give up something better because we want what we want, now.
Waiting is hard especially when you don’t think about the what you are giving up. Help your kids start to think about the consequences of not waiting and what they lose as well as the rewards and what they gain when they stop and think twice!
Be sure to check out all the resources available on nhckidstime.com You’ll find bible story videos, songs we sing, and a parent cue with ideas on how to continue the conversation at home.
