August 18/19 Parent Note for Remix/Revolution

Dear Kids’ Time parents,

This weekend is the first weekend of our annual At the Movies series. During this series, we will use popular movies to explore the truth that God has created us all for a special purpose.

This weekend, we will explore the movie Ferdinand! It’s an inspiring story of a gentle, kind, and loving bull in a world without acceptance. Throughout the movie, he has to learn to go against the crowd, and stand up for the values he believes in. We will learn that God did not make us to be like everyone else. Just like Ferdinand, we can stand up for the truth found in the bible. The memory verse this week is: Don’t live the way this world lives. Let your way of thinking be completely changed. Then you will be able to test what God wants for you. And you will agree that what he wants is right. His plan is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2 (NIrV)
