Remix, Rev & SPIN Parents,
Here are some of the newest happenings in our program:
Change 4 Change. This will be the final weekend to bring in change! We want to partner with Feed My Starving Children to change the lives of 24 kids for an entire year! If you feel called, make a fully tax-deductible donation by clicking here.
A Night of Hope Gala. There will be no church service on Saturday November 17th due to the Gala.
Baptism. New Hope is celebrating new believers through baptism on November 24th and 25th. There will be no Remix, Revolution, & SPIN on this weekend, so that kids can be a part of this celebration in the adult service!
This weekend, we look at Exodus 17:8-13, during a time where Joshua was leading the Israelites in a fierce battle against the Amalekites. When Moses held up his staff, the Israelites were able to win the battle. When Moses got tired, Aaron and Hur came to the rescue and helped hold up his arms. The Israelites win the battle because of how they all cooperated together. The bottom line is work together to help someone succeed. Just like Hur and Aaron, it’s important for a child to realize that working together isn’t just about doing something for yourself. You can work with other people to help them win at life too.
Here are two question you can ask your child to reinforce what is being taught at church:
How did the Israelites win the battle against the Amalekites?
How do you cooperate with your family?
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you have. I’d love to hear from you!
