March 2/3 Parent Note for SPIN/Remix/Revolution

Hello Remix, Revolution, & SPIN Parents,

We concluded February with a bang, collecting 245 pairs of socks in our Sock Drive. Thanks for partnering with us to warm the SOLES with the love of Jesus!

This month Remix, Revolution, & SPIN will focus on embracing individuality. We start off by looking closely at Genesis 1:26-28. When God created people, He did something special. He created them in His image and gave them the job of taking care of creation. The Bottom Line is -God made me in His image. We hope to help kids understand that being made in the image of God means we can love, show kindness, be creative, solve problems, and care for others all because we reflect and respond to God’s character. In Revolution, the Key Question is - What do you think it means to be made in God’s image? If they’ve been around church for a while, kids may have heard about this idea. They may still wonder what it actually means, especially as they are starting to understand the world as preteens. We hope kids start to understand how believing that God made them in His image can change the way they see the world.

The Two Questions for the Ride Home are:

1) What do you think it means to be made in God’s image?

2) How can knowing you are created in God’s image help when you mess up?

Send me an email if you any questions. I would love to hear from you!

In Him,

Natalie Sullivan
